I try to steer clear of trends. At least consciously. I know some things seep in, like cauliflower pizza crusts, homemade bread, and the "it's cool to not be cool" style (I have been waiting my whole life for that to happen).
On a whim, just before we left for Washington, I let the girls pick out their own outfits (mistake #1) and we went outside for some of those cute jumping in mid-air shots (yep, #2). Two things struck me when I looked at the photos. The girls inherited their mother's "it's cool to not be cool style," way ahead of their time. Second, they also inherited their mother's incredibly awkward jumping in mid-air poses (I'm sure you were all wondering why you haven't seen me in one of these silly poses. Well, the evidence bellow is testimony enough). The two at the bottom are especially enjoyable.
