The Rainbow Party!

Here I am, 9:30pm last night, still working away trying to get everything ready for Lily's Big 5th Birthday Party. I was a wee bit nervous about tackling this six layer, multi-colored beast. In her unfrosted state, she isn't much to look at, but slather on some white cream cheese frosting, and she's one foxy lady!

I picked up some colored thrift-store fabric (i.e. old T-shirts, pillowcases, scarves, etc.) for the rainbow garland. Just cut everything up into strips and tied to some twine. The cloud pillow was made from some leftover fabric from a curtain project, and the stuffing from an old pillow. Some embroidery floss around the edge held it altogether, with no cost to me! Oh, and the hearts were cut out from some paint swatches I picked up from the Walmart paint department.

It turned out really sweet once everything was put together.

Actual party pictures coming soon!

    1. Thanks, Allison! Those glass jars used to be old pill bottles from a pharmacy long long ago. My man picked them up at a garage sale a couple summers back, and I may have used them for every party since. I love them! The crate they are sitting on flips over and has slot for all the jars to be held in.
