What's Growing On Around Here!

The first warm sunny day in quite a while sent me outdoors with my girls. First things first:

 1. Inflate pool and fill with water. Check.
2. Bring out lots of snacks and water to drink. Check.
3. Mow the front lawn since the neighbor just mowed his. Check.
4. Take lots of pictures of the pretty things growing. Check. Check.

Mom's pink Hydrangea growing outside her back door.

The veggie beds are getting lively. These are my peas, growing pretty fast.

Meager, but I love all the little sprouts. Here is the run down of my veggies and herbs for this summer:

Snap Peas
Onions
Chives
Swiss Chard
Kale
Salad Mix
Summer Squash
Pole Beans
Cabbage
Broccoli
Radishes
Carrots
Basil
Rosemary
Mint
Oregano
Marjoram

A couple of these guys I haven't planted yet, since the hot weather hasn't hit us. But I am so excited for the crop to keep getting bigger! This is my first try at gardening. We shall see how successful I am.

This bed of radishes, carrots, and lettuces were planted about a month before my raised beds. They are growing like crazy!

Some fuchsias in the hanging baskets.

I don't know what this blooming bush is yet, but it is full and vibrant.

Hooray for summer, healthy food, warm sun, and fun with the girls in the backyard! God's creation is glorious and shouts His wondrous name to us! Be still and know that HE is GOD!

  1. Looks like you are well on your way to a lush garden. Your thumb is greenish. Can't wait to see it in person.

And I have a GREAT idea for a couch design. Waiting till your Mr. returns to send it to him.
